The Tiny Factory
As cities like Berlin become crowded, space becomes scarce and expensive, forcing trades people and artists out of the cities unless they take an all-or-nothing approach to their practice. As someone who’s eyes light up at the faintest whisper of a problem that needs solving I‘ve decided to continue my practice by starting a tiny design label based around manufacturing one product using a portable half cubic metre factory. The factory will contain all tools and materials necessary to manufacture 40 lamps from start to finish. This will greatly reduce my monthly fixed costs and will allow me to focus on establishing efficient manufacturing techniques.
